Founded in 2010 by John Mosier, the Greater Purpose Foundation was established out of a deep conviction and a moral imperative to combat one of the most harrowing crises of our time — child trafficking. What began as a vision to protect the most vulnerable among us has grown into a dedicated and mission-driven organization committed to restoring dignity, hope, and opportunity to exploited and at-risk children around the world.

At the heart of our foundation is a core belief: every child deserves to grow up safe, loved, and free. Our programs focus on prevention, rescue, rehabilitation, and reintegration — providing both immediate and long-term support to survivors while working tirelessly to disrupt the systems that enable trafficking to persist.

Through global partnerships, grassroots initiatives, and educational outreach, the Greater Purpose Foundation works across communities to raise awareness, strengthen protective infrastructure, and advocate for policies that prioritize the well-being of children.

Today, the Foundation stands not only as a defender of innocence but as a beacon of hope — driven by compassion, informed by experience, and unwavering in its mission to safeguard childhoods and empower survivors to reclaim their futures.

Our Mission

At the Greater Purpose Foundation, our mission is clear and resolute:
to combat child trafficking and rebuild the lives of those who have endured its devastating impact.

Founded in 2010 by John Mosier, the Foundation was born out of a moral obligation to protect the most vulnerable — children robbed of safety, freedom, and hope. In 2025, the urgency of our mission has only intensified. According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), children now account for 38% of all detected human trafficking victims worldwide, a number that continues to rise as traffickers exploit global instability and technology to fuel their trade.

But rescue is only the first step.

Many of those pulled from trafficking are not immediately ready to return to the communities or environments from which they came. The trauma they’ve endured runs deep, and reintegration into society must be handled with great care, compassion, and strategy.

That is why the Greater Purpose Foundation emphasizes a transitional path to healing and wholeness, through:

• Safe, supportive interim housing where survivors can stabilize      physically and emotionally.
• Trauma-informed counseling and mental health services to      begin the journey toward psychological restoration.
• Hands-on therapeutic activities, such as gardening and      creative arts, to reestablish trust, peace, and agency.
• Educational programs and life      skills training to empower survivors with knowledge, independence, and a renewed      sense of purpose.
• Family reunification support, only when it is safe and      appropriate, to help survivors rebuild meaningful and lasting connections.

We believe that freedom alone is not enough. Survivors deserve the chance to live truly, not merely exist — to dream, grow, and become who they were always meant to be.

Through prevention, protection, rehabilitation, and advocacy, the Greater Purpose Foundation continues to stand at the front lines of the fight against child trafficking. Together with our partners, supporters, and community leaders, we work toward a world where no child is ever exploited, and every survivor is allowed to heal and thrive.
